Dr. Calvin Williams is a board-certified dermatologist, medical director, and the owner of Essential Dermatology Group in Bedford, TX. Early on in his life, he noticed that the way people felt about their skin was indicative of how they felt about their appearance so that sparked his interest in dermatology. Dr. Williams is committed to helping individuals love the way their skin looks while providing the best possible personalized care. He specializes in a wide variety of skin problems, including eczema, skin cancer, psoriasis, acne, hyperpigmentation, and more. Being an African American, Dr. Williams understands that certain skin conditions present differently on darker skin types so he has a special interest in helping others with brown skin who commonly get misdiagnosed.
Dr. Williams earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. He then continued with his education by graduating with his Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard Medical School. Following that, Dr. Williams held an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Afterwards, he completed a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. For the last five years, Dr. Williams has been a medical director for two separate dermatology practices, including his own private practice, Essential Dermatology Group.

When Dr. Williams isn't focused on improving skin health, he enjoys mentoring at-risk youth, cheering for the Chicago Bears, exercising, traveling, and spending time with his family.
